You may have trouble understanding what this song is and why it's here. Play it while the news is on, and it will begin to make more sense.
There are two instruments on here I am relatively sure are not commonly heard. One, I'm sure isn't, because I made it and this is its debut! It's the buzzing vocal sound, which is creating using the squeaker from a giggle stick, while humming a different pitch than the one created by blowing through that. A little practice and you can get two things going at once. The humming was acoustically amplified by placing a gourd resonator against my throat. (I had previously posted that I'd used a bundle of doggie chew toy reeds- my mistake, I do have that but it wasn't used on this piece. The basic concept is similar, which caused my memory to go wrong.)
The other instrument is a vocal modeler synth made by xoxos, the same fellow who created the oscine tract synth used on "Birds". The sounds like pygmies and babies and angry old people were created on this.
I expect I could get several reactions to a piece like this, and all are completely fine with me and make sense. If you find it funny, unsettling, weird, scary, or even annoying, every one of those fits. One or all.
We all have our reasons. Sometimes, they are not particularly reasonable, or have not much reason to them. Why? We have our reasons.....
