It's one thing to leave in the noise in a track, in a sort of "warts and all" approach. I wanted to try something where the track was ABOUT the noise, and try to make it as musical as possible without actually playing any notes. I suppose this might be old hat today, but when I did it in '86 it seemed fresh to me. Was it? I dunno. But this track formed the basis of the album.
