Demolished
This was originally done for Terry Ann Daugherty's short film "A Real Human Being". There is a different master version on the soundtrack for that. She wrote the lyrics about a character in the film, and turned them over to me for music. I felt a strong personal connection with the lyrics and asked if I could also use this song on DE. Thankfully she agreed.
lyrics
You are life
So strange and cold
You cannot hold my burning soul
You are, you are my life
You are days of madness past
Of midnight tears and future fears
You're never just today
You're the place between the doors
Where my heart lives but never knows
The comfort or the beauty of
My own sweet love
My sweet demolished love
You are life
So strange and cold
You cannot hold my angry soul
You are, you are my life
