This is a compilation album of selections from my second long period of musical activity (or Phase Two). It seems I take long breaks in between! In many cases, because of the length of some pieces, what is offered here are excerpts.

Original release liner notes:
Choosing a collection of my own work has never been easy. What tracks best represent my music to someone who's never heard it? What track best represents a given album? As someone who's always felt more comfortable with variety than sameness, such a task is nearly impossible. Every track has its own identity, and yet is geared to work within an album; every album has its own identity beyond the sum of its parts and can represent only itself, because my work taken in total has embraced seemingly opposite areas of music. So I must ask anyone listening to this collection to remember that it's a glimpse of bigger things.
I have known some to claim diversity for appearance's sake, thinking this will win them points in the world. I have found that usually just the opposite is true, and I mention diversity here as a friendly warning, a challenge, and an invitation. I do not allow conventional boundaries, assumed or explicit, to get in my way when I create; and even those with unconventional listening habits may suddenly find themselves at a roast of sacred cow. I believe this is a good and healthy thing, and I hope you enjoy the result.
